If you receive a message or instruction from our team, please follow it promptly and refer to the information below for guidance on what actions to take.

Emergency Situations & What to Do
In the event of an emergency, use the sections below to find the situation that applies to you. Each category outlines simple steps to help you stay safe and follow the appropriate actions.
Severe Weather or Tornado (Shelter in Place)
What to do immediately:
- Go to an interior hallway or lowest level
- Stay away from windows and exterior walls
- Bring your phone and keep it with you
- Remain in place until an All Clear is issued
Where to go:
- Hotel guests: Interior hallways, stairwells, or lowest level
- North Tower (rooms 3001 – 3621) – Ground floor hallway by the Riverview Ballroom
- South Tower (rooms 4101 – 4422) – Waterpark tunnel (accessible from ground floor)
- Rio Condos (rooms 2101 – 2659) – Condo Lobby basement (stairwells accessible from breezeways on either side of the lobby)
- Villa ABC (rooms 7101 – 7114, 7201 – 7214, 7305 – 7310) – 1st Floor/Ground level
- Villa D (rooms 7115 – 7132, 7215 – 7232, 7315 – 7332, 7416 – 7431) – 1st Floor/Ground level
- Waterpark guests: Follow staff to designated shelter areas
When it is safe:
- You will receive an All Clear message
- Normal operations will resume
Severe Storm (No Immediate Shelter Required)
What to do:
- Remain indoors
- Avoid outdoor areas, pools, and walkways
Lightning or Severe Weather
- Pools, waterparks, and outdoor attractions may close immediately
- Return indoors when directed

If you are instructed to evacuate:
What to do immediately:
- Exit using the nearest stairwell or exit
- Do not use elevators
- Stay calm and move quickly
- Follow all staff directions
After exiting:
- Move a safe distance away from the building
- Do not re-enter until instructed
When it is safe:
- You will receive an All Clear message
- Normal operations will resume
Power Outage
What to do:
- Remain calm and stay in your room if possible
- Emergency lighting will be active in common areas
- Avoid elevators until power is restored
