Revenue Manager

Responsible for maximizing overall room revenue through the development, implementation, and execution of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on demand factors and competitor analysis with the consistent goal of gaining market share.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead Daily and Weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings utilizing Chula Vista and Navis programming tools. Managing revenue by segment with key initiatives against each will be the cornerstone to consistent goal achievement.
  • Daily strategic and direct inventory management to include analysis and tracking of daily pickup, turndowns, market pricing, inventory strategies, and demand pattern changes.
  • Maintain a weekly transient pace that extends out 90 days and is stored on the company database. Include the pace report in the weekly revenue meeting for analysis of trends.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local economy and how national changes are affecting travel patterns to the Wisconsin Dells and the State of Wisconsin.
  • Contribute to the preparation of a rooms forecast, day by day, and 90 days out maintaining accuracy of 3% or less.
  • Ensure that all merchant, retail, opaque or bundled channels are in alignment with strategy. Relationships with market managers are owned by the Revenue Manager as well as strong relationships with Chula Vista partners to understand any SEO or PPC initiatives in place. 
  • Review the weekly Navis Reservations reports to identify any challenges to the booking process.
  • Review EZRMS daily to identify opportunities for demand generation or share enhancement to be provided to the call center and sales teams.
  • Understand all current promotions to identify which ones would best fit the hotel strategy objectives.
  • Be knowledgeable of occupancy, average rate, and REVPAR goals including ranking and penetration goals. Be aware of key strategies that drive performance in each area.  
  • Maintain knowledge of PMS systems and reporting that relate to revenue reporting in order to ensure accurate segment tracking, package setup and adjustment tracking.
  • Provide the highest quality of service to the external and internal customer at all times.
  • Assist with the Marketing Plan relative to Revenue Management Statistics.
  • Monitor action plans objectives relative to hotel defined strategy in order to meet financial objectives quarterly. Ensure that strategies are aligned with the needs of the hotel and demand trends in the market.
  • Carry out any reasonable request by Management that you are capable of performing and assist other Departments when required.
  • Ensure that the GRC totals in Delphi are in parity with group data in the CRS systems. Identify any variances that need to be researched by DOS.
Education
Required:  High School Diploma

Preferred:  Bachelor Degree in Related Field

Experience
Required:  3 years in Previous Related Position

Preferred:  5 years in Revenue Management

Comply with company policies and procedures. Previous management level experience, within a multi unit, high volume Hospitality Company; with a demonstrated ability to achieve desired results.
