Reservation Assistant Manager

**This is a full time position-must be able to work first and second shift with availability during the week as well as on weekends and holidays.

Supervising General Job Performance of reservation staff. Implementing of policies and procedures under guidance of Reservations Manager. Training, tracking  and coaching of employees. Perform any other duties that may be requested by Reservations Manager or Revenue  Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Working with your direct report and peripheral departments to develop and coordinate the training, hiring, & operational strategies, for each of your responsibility and to achieve each areas stated goals and objectives.
  • Assist the reservations manager to motivate the team skillful at up-selling and/or conversion as required by the business demand.
     
  • Create the highest guest satisfaction possible by insuring prompt, friendly, quality, and knowledgeable service when speaking and providing services to our guests. Monitoring Telephone Manner and general performance of reservations staff daily.
     
  • Assist in developing and implementing training methods and procedures.Determine, communicate, and monitor personal and department achievements and performance standards on a daily basis.
     
  • Mentor all reservation associates to achieve their goals, and help them with any questions they may have. Be a positive role model.
     
  • Display a calm and attentive approach in solving problems and handling difficult situation, collecting information and sincerely helping to resolve them.
     
  • Always be available to answer questions, provide training, give assistance, and monitor staff performance.
     
  • Review reservation booked daily.
     
  • Liase with Sales Department in regards to occupancy, Rates Reservation's Analysis
     
  • To keep reservations staff informed on all changes or developments within the hotel and the company.

 
 
Job Qualifications:
Education:
            Required- High School Diploma

Experience:
            Required-Minimum 2 years experience as Reservation supervisor or Asst. Manager on a reputed hotel. Considerable experience related to this class of work including some supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
 
           Preferred- 5 years of Management Experience in Related Field

Physical Requirements:

Mathematics:
            Must be able to do routine math calculations.

Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with customers, vendors, and company staff.
