**This is a full time position-must be able to work first and second shift with availability during the week as well as on weekends and holidays.
This position is to oversee the overall operation and administration of the groups and catered bookings and any future business. This is a working Director position, and this person will be actively involved in account management.
Essential Job Functions:
•Working with your direct reporting and peripheral departments to develop and coordinate the training, hiring, & operational strategies, for each area of your responsibility and to achieve each areas stated goals and objectives.
•Practice and develop revenue enhancement and sales techniques and SOP's.
•Working through supervisors reporting to this position, maintain the operational effectiveness of the departmental operations, while delivering superior quality and service at all times.
•Manage and assist the development of the budgets and operational objectives consistent with the goals and objectives developed for each of your areas of responsibility.
•Create the highest customer satisfaction possible by insuring you and subordinates provide prompt friendly and quality service.
•Monitor that BEOs are signed, banquets checks are utilized, pre and post cons are performed to enhance customer satisfaction and get payments as timely as possible, billable are posted daily for accurate daily revenue management, and senior sales and catering reviews of accounts receivables are timely received by the customer with payment expectations managed to Chula Vista's CFO for cash flow purposes.
Required- Associate's Degree
Preferred- Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Restraunt Management
Required- 3 to 5 years experience in hotel food and beverage operations management with at least 2 years as a Senior Catering Manager or Director of Catering
Preferred- 7 years experience in hotel food and beverage operations management with at least 3 years of experience as a working Director of Catering
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Knowledge of all facets of hotel including guest relations, as they apply to Chula Vista Resort, is required. The ability to work with other people effectively in a staff position is important. Must have the ability to think creatively regarding the needs of the resort and solve problems or seize opportunities as they occur. Must have the ability to clearly define objectives. The knowledge of training methods and procedures and the ability to implement them are essential. Must have an expertise with all aspects of Delphi and its reporting systems.
